Does the Dorset Evening Echo feel threatened
Why has the Dorset Evening Echo, banned the Scallywag from its forums, is it afraid of people who want to debate real issues open and honestly, without the debate being controlled by the media. We have not been nasty or vexatious, abusive or even libelous. So why have they banned us? What are your views? Happy for a representative of the Dorset Echo to have the right of reply and post a response on our website, I will not ban them or censor them.

The Dorset Echo probably feels that advertisers will not use the paper if they write articles that reveal the 'under belly' of how some business is conducted.

Sure, this question faces me to the same ban, and before you ask i do care if i am banned,yet it is a question that needs answering. I have read the comments that the scallywag posted, and they are not slanderous or in any way abusive, yet still he was banned [b]WHY????? [/b]Before banning me perhaps, the editor of this website would do us all a favour and explain why? Let not the sword of censorship be the weapon of choice, but the sword of reason. I for one stand by the banner of the scallywag, the banner of the right of free speech. [b]I CALL FOR US ALL TO ASK THE QUESTION WHY????[/b]
As I have stated I stand by the right of free speech, the fact that i post my true name to my comments highlights the fact that i stand by what i say, its is a honour to stand by the scallywag, let justice prevail By the echo reinstating your right to express your views freely. If i am banned then so be it, for i stand by the banner I Believe in. let us hope others feel the same and ask the question WHY??????????
Anonymous hits it on the head, the media is run just like that, also through political and finacial "incentive". It is about as impartial and unbiased as Hitler commenting on the Jews.

You want to wake up pal, did you know the Echo has been blocking IP proxies to stop comments on Poitical hot potatoe stories today. Funny how the censorship is getting worse the nearer to any truth you get.
That actually constitutes a breach of human rights. It is a company inviting comment yet blocks anyone who disagrees with their poltics or cronyism.
try it yourself, google web based proxies and try to use one or post something contraversial yet not violent or rude, just make sure you go against what they like to report.
See how many posts you make beforfe deletion or blockage.
Try it, commenting on the story about the councillor and climate change brainwashing. A Comment attempted to be made supporting this councillor and challenging the women who objected to him. Now more than 20 proxies used and all being blocked as each new one is used.
you get:

Double checked by using straight IP address and all works fine although comment posting not attempted this way, no doubt it would be deleted by Echo.
They all worked before this, been doing I.T long enough to know when someone is blocking at the server sat there watching in real time.
