Road Traffic Accidents

What can we do to stop more of these tragic road traffic accidents we have had in our county lately?

PREVENTION IS BETTER THEN CURE

Who cannot feel the heartache when we read about the tragic accident that took place near Cerne Abbas, in which 4 people died? Various police statements suggest that action will be taken to avoid similar accident along this stretch of road, . Yet one nagging question will not go away, why does it need a tragedy to force change?
I live in Littmoor through which Louvers road runs, a straight road on which many a speeding vehicle can be seen, along this road is located a new play area, which entices many children to its location. I fear each time I see a child make the dangerous crossing, knowing just how fast some of these vehicles are going. The frequent crossing of the children and the speeding vehicles do not make a good mix, given that no vehicle calming or frequent police presence can be seen around this high-risk area. Do we need the death of a loved one, before action will be taken to stop our hearts from being broken?
A 12.8 per cent increase in the number of people killed or seriously injured on Dorset roads, sends a clear message that current strategies are not working.
Would it not be more advantageous for this police service to identify problem areas, such I just described, in order to prevent rather than cure a tragedy? If it is suggested this is a policy they already take, then they are clearly not looking hard enough.

Who was the 'sirry iriot' who placed a childrens play area adjacent to a busy road?
The alternative might be to place a set of bollards across the road a la Jestys Avenue. This might be a slight inconvenience to some, who can say?

Anonymous,
A valid question who was the idiot who place the play area on a busy road, I think we will find the answer with this council, who gives little thought to such matters. The question should also be why didn’t this police service, offer advice on its location, instead of waiting for the invertible to happen.

Stupid idiots distracting drivers in Wemouth. Who are thosepillocks in yellow jackets telling everyone to slow down in the radipole area (I think it was around there somewhere) the road with all the speed humps and crap. Iw as doing about 25mph the other day and some completer wanker in a yellow flash jacket was waving for me to go evens slower.

Who will be legally liable for the accident that occurs because my attention was taken away by some arsehole liberalist in a yellow flash jacket waving at me? The Police should move them on they are a nusiance.

Irritating pillock, might piss out of my car window on them next time as I go by.
